Kris Allen participated in the "One Day Without Shoes Barefoot Bash for Rwanda" Wednesday night at Heifer International in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The event coincides with the "Barefoot Walk" Thursday where people are encouraged to walk without shoes, to bring attention to the children of Rwanda who need shoes.
Kris just returned from a week-long trip to the Rwandan capital, where he took part in a TOMS shoes relief effort, dropping shoes to benefit children in the African country.
Speaking to a sold-out crowd, Kris talked about his experiences in Rwanda & how mission trips like these always seem to change a part of him.
After that, he & fellow band member, guitarist Cale Mills performed 3 songs: "Man In The Mirror", "Live Like We're Dying" & "Send Me All Your Angels" (a song Kris co-wrote with Chris Daughtry.)
You can watch all 3 performances here (via AINow.)
Below are pictures from the event.

A man with a great heart! Thanks for using your talent to good use. It really is inspiring. You really deserve to be called an IDOL!
More power kris!
Wow. I have not heard Kris perform Send Me All Your Angels onstage before, but this performance just blew me away. I watched a YouTube video where this song is featured with the V tv show trailer and just loved it. I think i have a new favorite song of Kris'. I'm gonna see if i can download it thru iTunes.
